Yes, a sub-Mendoza line average isn't pretty, but his power is better than pre-2010 numbers (.233 ISO vs .227 and .185 in '09 and '08) now that his hammate is healed. He's been terribly unlucky with a .232 BABIP, which is wayy below career averages. I think the low average is probably forcing him to swing at pitchers he normally would lay off, causing his K rate to tick up slightly.
While his defense is concerning, if he turned into Mike Napoli or Chris Iannetta, Jr., I'd be fine with that.

Some future list addition suggestions: Kylin Turnbull, Matt Skole, Taylor Hill, Erik Komatsu, Eury Perez, David Freitas, Rich Hague, Tyler Moore, Randolph Oduber, and Cole Kimball (didn't get enough time to lose prospect status).Willhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01902355704452340677noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33115397621243012.post-23878183072413539442011-08-24T20:15:51.493-07:002011-08-24T20:15:51.493-07:00Out of my personal top 10, Norris (6), Goodwin (8)...Out of my personal top 10, Norris (6), Goodwin (8), Hood (9) and Marrero (10) remain.
